Make a Difference

27 04 2011

Today your teachers got to wear jeans to school if the donated a few dollars to the STARS program for autistic kids upstairs.  On this morning’s announcements we heard the results of the recycling drive contest and found out that the school had gathered over 50 feet of paper.  About a month ago almost the entire school got together to make birthday cards for my nephew.  We’ve had change drives, canned food drives, and hat/glove/scarf drives here at school this year.

All of these things are because we want to make a difference.  We want to help.  We want to change the world for the better.

BUT… how much difference can one person make?  Can one person change the world?  What exactly is the power of one person?

Tell us how much impact a single person can have on the world around them?  Can they make it a better place?  How?  What could I do?  What could you do?

Be sure to type out your answers in complete sentences.  Be sure to back up your ideas with some examples, evidence, or proof.  Be sure to check back and see what other people say too.  Be sure to comment on what they say.
